Carl Everett Johnson, Sr., 88 of Memphis, Tennessee died on Tuesday, December 26, 2023, at his residence in Memphis, Tennessee.

Born Wednesday, October 2, 1935 in Memphis, Tennessee, he was the son of the late David Johnson and the late Myrtle Chavers. He was the husband of Christine Currin Johnson.

Surviving are son, Carl Everette Johnson, Jr. of Memphis, TN, daughter, Cerise Johns of Memphis, TN and a host of relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 4, 2023 from 10:00am-12:00 noon with a Celebration of Life to follow at 12:30 pm both will be held at Metropolitan Baptist Church 767 Walker Ave, Memphis, TN 38126

Interment will be Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 10:00am in West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery, 4000 Forest Hill Irene Road, Memphis, TN 38125.
