OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Greater Shiloh Baptist Church, 217 LA-10, Opelousas, LA for Mr. Devon Janice, 30, who entered eternal rest on Sunday, December 24, 2023 at his residence in Houston, TX. Interment will be at St. Mark Baptist Church in the Plaisance Community.

Rev. Todd Jones, Pastor of True Fellowship Baptist Church, will be officiating the funeral service.

Mr. Janice memories are being cherished by: his father, Tony (Caroline) Scott of Rayne, LA; biological mother, Charlene Dominick of Crowley, LA; seven brothers, Jarrad (Joia) Thomas, Sr., Calvin Roberts, Tony Thorns, Shaquille Dominick, Lenny Bruce, Kenny Bruce and Antoine Scott and; two nephews, Da’Quaylin Monroe, Jarrad Thomas, Jr. and; one niece, Janea Thomas; and a host of relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his adopted mother, Clara Dominick; maternal grandparents, Floyd and Hazel Celestine Dominick; paternal grandparents, Willie and Florida Scott Morgan; maternal step grandmother, Emma Dominick; maternal aunt, Betty Glaze; and paternal aunts, Verneal Scott, Vanessa Morgan and Dawana Morgan Wilbert.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Greater Shiloh Baptist.
