Hector Ray Barnes, 63, of New Bern died Sunday, January 7, 2024.

His Celebration of Life Service is 4:00 PM, Friday, January 12, 2024 at Oscar's Memorial Chapel.

He is survived by his mother, Erma Simmons Best and step-father, Jerry Best of New Bern; his son, Hector Mayo; daughters, Tomeka, Dominque and Deirda; brothers, Clinton Barnes III, Georgia and Jeffrey Barnes, Raleigh; sisters, Kimberly West, Kenansville, NC and Holly Barnes; several grandchildren.
