Mr. Mendez of Bradenton transitioned Wednesday, January 3, 2024.

A visitation will be held Monday, January 8, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at Coney Funeral Home - 647 W. Memorial Boulevard, Lakeland, Florida 33815.

Interment will be held Tuesday, January 9, 2024 - 10:00 a.m. at Oak Hill Burial Park, Lakeland, Florida 33812.

Chito was born August 3, 1961 in Arecibo, Puerto Rico. He was a loving father, doting husband, dedicated grandfather and wonderful friend. Relatives and friends knew him as loving, kind, and exceptionally funny.

He is survived by his wife: Melita “Tootie” Mendez; children: Alfonso “Fonsito” Mendez, Elisette “Lissie” Mojica, Ildefonso “Chito” Mendez, Tiffini Mendez, Justin Mendez, and Madison Mendez.
