Memorial Service for Mr. Palma Vance Hollowell, will be held Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 12:00 Noon, at the Mississippi Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Newton, Mississippi.
Palma V Hollowell, at the age of 74, departed this life on Friday Morning, December 1, 2023, at his residence. He was born on July 17, 1949, to the union of George Hollowell and Lula Donald Hollowell Buckley in Lake, Mississippi. His father, mother and four siblings preceded him in death.
Palma confessed Christ at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church located in Forest, Mississippi, under the leadership of Pastor G.W. Chandler.
Palma graduated from East Scott High School Lake, Mississippi in 1967, After graduating from high school He joined, the Job Corp and later served in the United States Army and continued his education by attending Jackson State University, Jackson, Mississippi and Benjamin Franklin University, Washington DC respectively earning a B.A. in accounting and a master’s in finance. After graduating from college, he was employed by Internal Revenue Services as an auditor. Where he continued to further his career. Where he later retired from the Internal Revenues Services and returned to Mississippi to live a full life.
Palma had a sense of humor when you got to know him, he was a great listener, and would always give a nod to let you Know he was listening to the conversation. He also had a keen eye for detail. His hobbies included computers math games, listening to music, cooking, wrestling and reading. Palma knowledge and acceptance of others prove to be one of his great assets in his relationship with others. He was very structured and self-sufficient in his accomplishment.
He was loved by friends, and family and he would find and give comfort whenever surrounded by conversation and laughter. He never stopped absorbing the love coming from those around him.
He leaves to cherish his memories; Sisters: Shirley Hollowell Dixon of Chicago, IL, Priscilla Buckley of Lake, MS and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of family members and friends.

We know that even though you are gone, your memory still live with us in our hearts, Words can't say what we truly mean; we just want to say that we love you, and will miss you, and you will always be in our hearts God has set you free to laugh, to love, work, and free of pain and sorrow. Goodbye Palma. We will never forget the time we spent together. Even though you've gone out of our lives, you will be in our hearts forever.
