Her main love was always education. Patsy taught at numerous schools in Alabama, Georgia and Ohio for over 30 years. Most recently, she was a teacher at Georgetown Elementary in Columbus, GA. Her son Tyler, will say “my mom treated kids as her own. It didn’t matter if they were family, friends, or students. It didn’t matter: background, ethnicity, age, good, bad, genius or needed help. She just loved kids.” Patsy also spent time at the Aaron Cohn Youth Detention Center, Columbus Civic Center and Kid’s Learning Center.

She is survived by her only child and son Tyler Senior; mother, Hattie Harris; aunt, Mary L. Moore; brothers, Edgar Crimes, Neal Harris, Jr., and Dale Harris; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who she communicated with multiple times a week.
