Pastor Jeffery Anderson, 56, of Columbus, GA passed Thursday, January 11, 2024.

Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. EST, Friday, January 19, 2024 at Zion Royal Priest Ministries, 6165 Billings Road, Columbus, GA, with Pastor Brenda Baker, officiating. Interment in Green Acres Cemetery. Public viewing will be Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 1-5 p.m. EST.

Pastor Jeffery Anderson was born September 14, 1967 in Phenix City, AL. Son of the late Willie Anderson Sr. and Addie Mae Anderson. He attended schools in the Russell and Muscogee County School Districts and graduated from Hardaway High School in 1985. Furthering his education, Pastor Anderson participated in the Nursing Program at Americo Technical School in 1988. Throughout his life he worked many jobs and wore multiple hats. Pastor Anderson was very skillful with his hands, no task he couldn’t do. A list of his jobs being Dolly Madison, MDV, Muscogee School District, Job Option, and Power Works.

Pastor Anderson transitions this life January 11, 2024 at Piedmont Columbus Regional Hospital. He preceded in death one brother, Willie Anderson Jr.; three sisters, Janice Anderson, Shirley Harris and Kaysandra Oliver.

Pastor Anderson leaves to cherish his memories his wife Shirley Anderson; two sons Jeffery Anderson and Anthony Anderson; spiritual son Corey White all from Columbus Ga.; five sisters Lillie Barnes, Pastor Gwendolyn (Aurthur) Black, Elder Judith (Earl) Rivers, Tammy Watts, Pastor Betty (Terry) Williams; one brother Timmy (Roynal) Anderson and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Pastor Anderson accepted his call to the ministry may 1997 and was licensed on August 9, 1998. His served his first assignment as Pastor over Holy Healing Temple in 2002. In February 2004, the Lord blessed Pastor Anderson to move and rename the ministry New Direction in Faith CFC. The church was located at 4016 Jay Street, Columbus, GA.

Overwrought by personal and economic turmoil, Pastor Anderson decided to take a hiatus from his ministerial commitments to give himself time to reflect, heal, and be strengthened. In November, 2017 New Direction in Faith CFC was reborn and reestablished at 725 Lawyers Lane, Columbus, GA. He fought the good fight and have finished his course. He will be remembered as a Pastor after God’s own heart.
