Pastor Rufus Medlock

RUFUS MEDLOCK was born on November 29, 1951, in Albany, Georgia, to the late James and Doretha Medlock. As a child, he later moved to Nahunta, Georgia, where he resided until he later moved to Quitman, Georgia, as a teen. He was raised by the late Jimmie and Lillian Davis. He later went on to join the United States Army.

As an adult, he later gave his life to Christ, and he was ordained in May of 2005 as a Reverend.

Later, he attended J & E Ministry for Christ, Inc., Bible College and received a Bachelor of Ministry in 2018.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, James Medlock, Jr., McKenneth Medlock, and Minnie Lanier.

He leaves to cherish: the love of his life, Belinda Medlock of 50 years; he also leaves to cherish: his three children, Christina Medlock (Roland Williams, III), Rufus Medlock of Douglasville, GA, Lashonda (Anthony) Morrell of Quitman, GA; grandchildren, Exavius Medlock, Ayanna Rose, Taeya Jackson, Amarion Medlock, Brandon Medlock, Ktron Reid, Brycen Randolph, Journee Brown, and Deric Herring; one great-grandchild, Nadia Medlock; two siblings, Benny Ray (Deborah) Medlock of Waycross, GA, and Emma (Earl) Thomas of Jesup, GA; sisters-in-law, Delilah Clark of Quitman, GA, Barbara (Cedric) Randolph of Quitman, GA, Carloyn Smith of Valdosta, GA, and Connese Medlock of Nahunta, GA; brothers-in-law, Tommy (Charlene) Smith of Kingsland, GA, Jimmy (Kimberly) Smith of Jacksonville, FL, and Bobby (Pearl) Lanier of Jesup, GA; one aunt, Mildred Morris of Monroe, GA; additional siblings, Lillian Newsome, William (Mary) Davis, Jimmie (Ernestine) Davis, Elnora (Richard) Powell, Debra (Freeman) Ponder, Jackie (Ulysses) Marable, Jr., and Bobbie Jean (Erivin) Richardson; special friends, Robert Neloms, Leroy Jones, Robert Dixon, J. C. Brown, Dessie Brown, and Greg Cobb, Sr.; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
