Leslie Wilson Broad was born on September 2, 1968, in Quitman, Georgia to Rudolph Davis, Sr., and the late Jeannette Wilson Hill, but was reared by Ms. Eddie Joe Davis. She attended Brooks County High School from 1985 until 1989.
Leslie was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Broad; grandparents, Julia and Matthew Wilson, Jimmy and Lillian Davis; brother, Rudolph Davis, Jr.; uncle, James Roosevelt; and aunt, Joyce.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her children, Willie (Carlette) Knight, Jr., of Deerfield, FL, Julia (Curtis) Anderson of Valdosta, GA, Philip (Presepphaine) Knight, and Malcolm Knight of Valdosta, GA; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; father, Rudolph (Tracey) Davis, Sr.; siblings, Gerald Davis, Tonya Booker, Sonja (Dewayne) Copeland, Tiffany Wilson, Taurean Wilson, Lisa (Anthony) Johnson, Shun Holsendolph, Michael Wilson, Erique (Shannon) Davis, Lasaundra Harvey, Reggie (Stephaine) Grant, Shirley (Richard) Bannerman, Darron Hollis, Tay Davis, and Ronda Clemons; aunts, Lillian Newsome, Bobbie (Evrin) Richardson, Evelyn Miller, Jackie (Ulysses) Marable, Elnora (Richard) Powell, and Debra (Freeman) Ponder; uncles, Earl Wilson, Jimmy (Earnestine) Davis, and William (Mary) Davis; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives, and friends who will miss her sorely.
Funeral services were Saturday, December 30, 2023 at 3:00 P.M. at the Simmon Hill M.B. Church in Dixie, Georgia with Pastor James Huewitt, Sr. officiating. Burial followed at the North End Cemetery in Quitman, Georgia.
