Donald Lee Hervey, 75, son of the late Lawrence Cortez Hervey and Blanche Loretta Saunders, was born in Harrisburg, PA. On Thursday, January 04, 2024, after a long fought battle, he gained his wings and entered into eternal life.

Donald Lee Hervey graduated from John Harris High School and joined the United States Navy shortly thereafter. As a lifetime servant to his country and community, Donald Lee Hervey was employed by the PA State Capitol Police and later retired from the County of Dauphin. After retirement, he enjoyed spending many of his leisure hours gathering with his family at the local Dunkin Donuts or watching football.

Donald Lee Hervey was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence Cortez Hervey and Blanche Loretta Saunders and sister, Wanda Wright. He leaves to cherish fond memories of his life; his son, Brandon Harvey of California; his devoted companion of 39 years, Margaret of Harrisburg, PA; his nephew, "Woody" Grier, his two nieces, Sharvette Grier and Sherri Grier, all of Harrisburg, PA and host of grand nieces, grand nephews, other relatives and friends.

His life will be celebrated at 12 Noon on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 in the Chapel of the Major H. Winfield Funeral Home, Steelton with viewing and visitation 11:00 a.m. until 12 Noon and burial in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
