Cynthia Marie Warren was born on July 23, 1938, in Sandy Ridge, NC to Samuel Arthur Martin and Olivia R. Ziglar. Cynthia married Nathaniel Douglas Warren on December 29, 1960, and they had four children. Cynthia graduated from Livingstone College with honors. She worked as a teacher in the Guilford County school system for many years.

While living in Washington DC, Jehovah's Witnesses showed Cynthia in the Bible that God's name is Jehovah. She was touched that God had a personal name, which moved her to want to draw closer to Him. Later, when she attended a meeting of Jehovah's Witnesses, she was impressed that even young children could answer Bible questions.

After studying the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses, Cynthia dedicated her life to Jehovah and was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1966. She loved talking to people about her God and Father, Jehovah, and the hope of living forever in paradise on earth.

Cynthia studied the Bible with her children and would have them read from the Bible. Cynthia regularly took her children in the door-to-door ministry. Part of her ministry was visiting ones who were in nursing homes.

Cynthia wanted to do more in her ministry and began regular pioneering in September 1986. She attended pioneer school from August 17-28, 1987. Cynthia continued to maintain the pioneer spirit even when she was no longer a regular pioneer. In 2003, Cynthia had the privilege of attending the International Convention of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Hawaii.

Cynthia enjoyed dancing and looked forward to spiritual gatherings where food and music were involved. We await with pleasure the resurrection gathering with her.

Cynthia is preceded in death by her son Joseph Warren. Cynthia is survived by her children, Nathaniel Warren, (Cecily), Samuel Warren (Christie), Ursula Warren, her grandchildren Franklyn Johnson, DeMarcus Warren and Kato Johnson and 3 great grandchildren Ja’Mari, Jaslynn and Olyvia. Cynthia is also survived by seven siblings, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
