In Loving Memory of Inez McSwain
Inez McSwain, beloved mother, sister, and friend, peacefully passed away on January 10, 2024, at her residence in Farrell, PA. Born on May 15, 1933, in Montgomery, Alabama, to the union of Jimmy and Mattie (Johnson)Gilchrist.
Inez lived a life filled with love, compassion, and unwavering devotion to her family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Inez dedicated her life to caring for others as a Nurse's Aide in the healthcare industry.
Her tender touch and warm smile brought comfort to countless patients throughout her career. Inez may not have received a formal diploma, but her passion for helping others surpassed any educational accomplishment.
Her selflessness and dedication made a lasting impact on the lives she touched. She was a Mother of the Church at Valley Baptist where she participated and supported the ministry for more than sixty years.
Left to cherish Inez's memory are her daughter Dorothy Harris and son Charles McSwain. Inez treasured her family above all else and leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and resilience.
Awaiting Inez at Heaven’s gates were her parents, daughter Flora McSwain, an infant son and sister Virginia Lewis.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects during the public viewing, which will take place on January 20, 2024, at 9:30 am at Valley Baptist Church. The funeral service, held at the same location, will follow at 10:30 am. The ceremony will be a time to remember and celebrate Inez's remarkable life, filled with memories, stories, and the love she bestowed upon those around her.
Inez will be laid to rest on January 20, 2024, at 11:45 am in a solemn burial ceremony. Her final resting place will be a testament to the impact she had on the lives she touched and the love that will forever remain in our hearts.
Inez McSwain will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Her legacy of kindness and compassion will continue to inspire us all. As we gather to honor her memory, let us find solace in the knowledge that she is at peace and watching over us from above.
