Mr. Robert Ladon Morgan

Mr. Robert L. Morgan, 62, of Attalla, AL, passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. He is survived by his family. We ask that you please keep this family in your hearts and prayers during their time of bereavement.

Mr. Robert Ladon Morgan was born on February 17, 1961, in Gadsden, AL to Velda Jean Morgan and Robert Morgan. He was a graduate of Etowah High School, Class of 1979. Robbie, as his family affectionately called him, enjoyed passing his time by tinkering on trinkets and collecting antiques. He was a beloved member of Gospel Temple Church and a valued employee of Wal-Mart East Gadsden where he enjoyed his job and his co-workers.

Robert was preceded in death by his father, Robert Morgan; mother Velda Jean Morgan and his grandmother Elva Bridges.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his beloved wife of 5 years Donna Morgan; his daughters Valerie Mummert (Jeremy Simmons), Camelia Morgan (Alex Seals) and Debra Stillwell; grandchildren Mackaila Pendley (Samuel) Allison Mummert, Kaydenn Simmons, Austin Seals, Shelby Wiggins, and Peyton Morgan; sisters Renna (Mickey) Pate, Sherrie (Lane) Mason, Linda Bly, Threasa and Julian Barajas, Cynthia Gladden, Patricia and Jose Colmenares; brothers Jeff (Melissa) Morgan and Matthew (Candi) Morgan; uncle Donnie (Betty) Morgan; Step-mother Amanda Morgan; special friends, his Wal-Mart co-workers; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

Special thanks to the nursing staff and doctors of SICU at Gadsden Regional, co-workers of Wal-Mart East Gadsden and friends and family with us throughout these final days and the days to come. A special thank you to West Gadsden Funeral Home Staff for your caring and support throughout this process.

Memorial Services will be held on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at 12noon at West Gadsden Funeral Home (Betty D. Robinson Chapel).

Eulogist will be Pastor Bill Boatwright.
