Funeral service for Mr. DePriest Byers, who departed this life on January 17, 2024, will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 30, 2024, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church - E. Gadsden, Pastor Z. Andre Huff, Eulogist and Officiant.

Interment: Crestwood Cemetery

DePriest was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Leola Byers; his siblings, Sarah, Lester, Izola, John Rush, Betty, Loraine and Charles Byers.

Those left to cherish his memories: his sons, David of Charlotte, NC, Derrick (Vangie) of Houston, TX and Darryl (Gail) of Columbus, OH; his beloved niece, Theresa (Jerome) Chatman of Birmingham, AL; his brother-in-laws, Theodore and Walter Allen of Gadsden, AL; his cherished grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and very special friends of the family.
