Delores Murray

Delores Jean Murray was born in Philadelphia on August 26, 1957, to the late Gloria Medlin Pugh and James Pugh Sr but was raised New York.

Delores received her education in Philadelphia, before relocating to Harnett County. She had many talents she was an excellent cook, seamstress, certified nurses assistant but however, her first love was singing.

Delores sung in the Young Adult choir at Cutts Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. She was faithful member at Deliverance Church under the leadership of Bishop S. L. Carney until she could no longer attend due to her health.

She was preceded in death by her older brother Tyrone Pugh.

Delores leaves to cherish her memories; her son: Taveres Murray (Patricia); six grandchildren: Amani Ballentine, Taveres Murray, Jr., Jayden Staton, Yasmin Murray, Aviyonna Murray, Tavara Murray; Sisters: Joyce Dunbar and Rev. Laura Gee; Brothers: James Pugh Jr. (Tarrell) and Jermaine Pugh; Sister in Law: Lena Pugh; Aunts: Pastor Ruth Landry, Minister Mary Louise Williams, Minister Jane Adams, Marie McEachin, Mamie Roberson, Johnnie Mae Smith; Uncles: Clarence Roberson, John Adams and James Smith, Special Friend; James Davis an a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, cousins and friends.

Visitation: 1:00 - 5:00 pm Friday, January 26, 2024 at Trice Funeral Home Chapel, 127 N. West Street in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.

Viewing: 11:00 am - 12:00 pm Saturday, January 27, 2024 at St. Augusta Missionary Baptist Church in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.

Funeral will be held at 12:00 Saturday, January 27, 2024 at St. Augusta Missionary Baptist Church, 605 Bridge Street in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.

Starting Wednesday, January 24, 2024 the Family will be receiving Family and Friends from 1:00 - 7:00 pm at 619 Hillside Court in Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526.
