On January 15, 2024, God called one of his children home. Henry L. Hosley who was born on November 16, 1945, to the late Mr. William O. Hosley, Sr. and Mrs. Eula Mae Sampson Hosley. He was affectionally known as “Pooh Bear”, “Uncle Lemonade”, and “Lil Nade”.
Henry attended Booker High School, but it was his real-life skill as a brick mason along with his employment at Thomaston, Dundee Mills and several other industries that made it possible for him to provide for his family. He was united with his beloved wife, Fannie Hosley, in holy matrimony on April 27, 1969 and were married for fifty-three years.
In his spare time, he enjoyed playing cards, fishing, watching westerns and wrestling while have a “drink”.
Henry was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Ida Mae Smith and Lucille Bateman, four brothers, Solomon Hosley, Grady Hosley, Jimmy Hosley, and Ray Charles Hosley.
Henry leaves behind a wonderful family to cherish his memories including his loving wife, Fannie Hosley; two children, Pamela (Dexter) Brown and Yulanda “Nikki” Hosley of Dallas, TX; three grandchildren, La'Dasha Brown of Barnesville, GA. Keaton (Antoinette) Brown of Colorado Springs, CO and Katiyah Brown of Biloxi, MS; four great-grandchildren, Jace Moore, Kaiden Brown, Kaelee Townes and Kamren Brown; sisters and brothers, William Hosley Jr. of Milner, GA, Gloria (Alex) O'Neal of Milner, GA, Jeanette (Bobby) Risper of Griffin, GA, Mattie Hosley of Barnesville, GA, Shirlene (Benny) Fambro of Milner, GA, Laura Ann (Jay) Johnson of Mangham, LA, Frances Wyche of Barnesville, GA, Gracie Hosley of Milner, GA, Betty (Rev. Donald) Walker of Augusta, GA, and Dexter Hosley of Milner, GA; aunts, Beula Anderson of Greenville, SC, Rose Lee McCuthison of Chattanooga, TN and Mary Alice Williams of Atlanta, GA; brothers-in-law, Robert Bateman of Milner, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family and friends who will miss him dearly.
