Willie G. Redd gained his heavenly wings on January 23, 2024. he was preceded in death by his parents Dock, Sr. and Eula Redd; his sister: Estelle Turner; brothers: Dock Redd, Jr., Eddie Redd, Charlie Redd and Robert Redd; and his children: Lewis Berrios Brown and James Edward Tyson. He was united in holy matrimony to the late Susie Davis Redd and to this union five beautiful children were born.

"Bill" as he was affectionately known worked many years for Sweet Apple Industry. Additionally he dedicated over thirty years to the Greene County Street Department, where he worked as a heavy machine operator. He retired as one of the best motor graders the county has ever seen. Bill also loved to sing, cook and play cards. He always dressed to impress and was known for his smooth style.

He leaves his loving children to cherish his memories: Melissa (Leon) Harris of Greensboro, Ga., Ulysses (Janice) Redd of Oxford, Pa., Jennifer Redd, Rhyan Redd, Shawanda Redd all of Greensboro, Ga., Steve Williams of Greensboro, Ga., Keigan Redd of Covington, Ga, Kierra Redd and Robert Redd of Greensboro, Ga.; his sister Ruby Chaffin; close friends: June Parks, Jimmy Gresham and Lorenzo Gresham and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Services: Sunday, January 28, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. from Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Greensboro, Ga. with Pastor Raphael Green, Officiating.
