PORT BARRE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre, LA for Mrs. Polly Ann Randall Pickney, 58, who entered eternal rest on Friday, January 19, 2024 at University Medical Center of New Orleans in New Orleans, LA. Interment will be in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church Cemetery in Grand Coteau, LA.
Fr. Clint Trahan, Pastor of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, will be officiating the funeral service. Mrs. Pickney was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Port Barre, LA. She served as Alderman for the City of Port Barre for 20 years. She was employed at Bourque’s Supermarket in Port Barre, LA for over 30 years.
Mrs. Pickney’s memories are being cherished by: her husband, Rayfield Pickney of Port Barre, LA; two sons, Perez Pickney of Destin, FL and Tyrese Pickney of Baton Rouge, LA; one daughter, Aaliyah Pickney of Broussard, LA; four brothers, Stephen (Mae) Randall of Iowa, LA, Ranis (Anna) Randall, Jr. of Nacogdoches, TX, Timothy (Diana) Randall of Houston, TX and Mark (Jacqueline) Randall of Shepherd, TX; six sisters, Mary Lee Charles (Joe) and Betsy Lee Davis, both of Opelousas, LA, Linda Randall of Lafayette, LA, Vivian Alfred (Calvin) of Baytown, TX, Andrea Randall of Baton Rouge, LA and Monica Randall (Lum) of Houston, TX; two grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by: her parents, Ranis and Lorena Riggs Randall, Sr.; two brothers, Gerald and Randy Randall; and two sisters, Judy Randall and Jacqueline Randall.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. A rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m.
