Ms. Lovie Jean Cullins

Lovie Jean Cullins was the oldest of the Parker Dozen children, born to the late Randolph and Ruby Parker. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Vickie, brother, Timothy, and her maternal grandmother, Esther Cullins.

Lovie’s deep passion for the hospitality industry led her to many years of working with several organizations that utilized her talents and strong relationships to service in the community.

Her love of cooking led her to starting her own catering business as well as authoring a cookbook, ‘Angels in the Kitchen’ with her friend Sarah, which was so popular that it necessitated three printings.

Her church affiliation was with the Church of God of Prophecy

Her hobbies included cooking, sewing, and coloring. She felt fortunate to share her talents with so many people throughout her life.

Relatives left to cherish her memories are her son, Roger; grandchildren, Justin, DJ, and Quadir; great-granddaughter, Liliana; siblings, Linda, Iris (John), Randy, William, Deborah (Reverend Anthony), Stefan, Denise (Alvin), Tammy (Willie), Kenny, Nathan, a special cousin who was like a sister, Esther, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. Also, she leaves to cherish special memories of her, a circle of golden friends: Sarah, Lucy, Sylvia, Beverly, Elaine, and Vicky.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow at Floral Garden Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 12:30 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. THERE WILL BE NO PUBLIC VIEWING.
