Kevin Brian Ellis, Sr., 60, of Smyrna, SC, passed away from flu and pneumonia on Monday, January 1, 2024, at Piedmont Medical Center.
Born January 30, 1963 in Rock Hill, he was a devoted husband and father, attending Sisk Memorial Baptist Church in Fort Mill during his childhood. Later in life he attended Lamp Light Church in Charlotte, NC, then Cornerstone Family Worship Center in York, SC, where he and his family volunteered at the Food Pantry. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, music, and family history research.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Kevin Brian Ellis, Jr. (Smyrna, SC); his brothers, Phillip Ellis (Lynn) Harriman, TN, Keith Ellis (Connie) Fort Mill, SC, Chris Ellis (Julie) Lancaster, SC; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are his wife, Karen Bennett Ellis (Smyrna, SC) and his mother, Nancy Carolyn McCraven Ellis (Fort Mill, SC). His father, Edom Leonard Ellis (Lugoff, SC) also recently passed away.

Receiving of friends will be at Glenrock Baptist Church, 1815 North Dobys Bridge Road, Fort Mill, SC 29715, at 1 pm Saturday, February 3, 2024, followed by a memorial service at 2 pm.
