Mrs. Lorena J. McClainSPARTANBURG, SC-- Mrs. Lorena J. McClain of 473 Bethlehem Drive, entered into eternal rest on Thursday evening, October 27, 2011, at her home. She was the daughter of the late Mr. Albert Jeter, Sr. and the late Mrs. Mary Jeter.Mrs. McClain was a faithful member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church where she served as the dedicated Sunday School Teacher for the Primary Class for over 50 years. She had a strong love for sharing the Word of God with others. During her years of service with the church she also served as member of the Mother's Board, Missionary Ministry; and she was a former Usher. Mrs. McClain was a member of the Eastern Star, Rebecca Chapter #209.After many years of service she retired from the Spartanburg Country Club.Mrs. McClain was preceded in death by her former husband, Mr. Leroy McClain; a son, The Reverend Eugene R. McClain; and four brothers, Mr. Charlie Jeter, Mr. Albert Jeter, Jr., Mr. Connie Lee Jeter and Mr. Willie B. Jeter.Mrs. McClain leaves to cherish her loving memories: two daughters, Ms. Sheila Young and Ms. Fanettes Rowland both of Spartanburg, SC; one son, Mr. Harold (Laverne) McClain of Spartanburg, SC; one sister, Mrs. Florena (Gabriel) Miller of Spartanburg, SC; two brothers, Mr. Jerry (Frances) Jeter of Newark, NJ and Mr. Bernard Jeter of Spartanburg, SC; daughter-in-law, Mrs. Ann McClain of Orangeburg, SC; eight grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.The family is at the home.J.
