Allen Wesley Pierce-May

Mr. Allen Wesley Pierce-May, age 23, of Youngstown, departed this life Monday, January 22, 2024, at Mercy Health St Elizabeth Health Center.

Allen was born August 10, 2000 in Youngstown Ohio, to the late Wesley Allen Pierce Jr. and Christina Chanell May. He attended South Side Academy and had dreams of enlisting in the military and of becoming an engineer.

He was the Beautification Director of The Persayus Way Project, which was named in honor of his deceased sister. He also studied the Muslim religion. Allen was a loving and compassionate person with a million-dollar smile that would light up a room. He enjoyed rapping, gambling, and spending time with family and friends. He wanted to travel the world and was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler fan.

Allen leaves to cherish his precious memory, his mother and stepfather Tony Davis. He leaves his loving friend Nahdia Baker, Grandfather, Ervin May Sr., mothers of his children Tanazia Taylor, and Kayla Dawson, two sons, Za’Mere May and Khaza Dawson, a daughter, Za’laiah May all of Youngstown.

He will also be remembered by his brothers Wesley May, Jamael Pierce, Cameron Sly, Julien May, Tony May, Ryder May, Sekani May, Juelz May and Juwelz May, all of Youngstown; sisters, Aaliyah May, and Jameelah Murphy both of Youngstown. Aunts; LaCreshia May (Austin Harris), Alishia Bratton, Ashley Pierce, Alicia Pierce, Shanice Pierce, Sherice Pierce, and Cora (Larry) Carter; four uncles; Lance Julious, Shannon Pierce, Alvin White Sr., and Kevin (Andrea) Wallace.

His will be loved by his nieces; Envy May, Zaviah Pierce, Ma’Leiah Macklin, Ri’Leigh May, as well as his nephews, DeJuan Thomas, and Michael Macklin, goddaughter; Janari Allen, godfather; Jamal Perry, godmother; Janilla Hornbuckle, and a host of family and friends who loved him dearly.

Allen was preceded in death by his father, Wesley Allen Pierce Jr.; great grandparents; Anna and Ervin Lawson, Byotha and Ervin May, Olin and Elsie Wallace, Ira and Juanita Pierce Sr., grandparents; Wesley and Frances Pierce Sr., grandmother Sherry Sellers; sister, Persayus May, aunt Shavonne Pierce; uncles; Ervin May Jr., Julian May, and Lavail White Sr.

In celebration of Allen's life, funeral services will be held at the Jaylex Event Center, 2110 Glenwood Ave., on Thursday February 1, 2024. A public viewing will take place from 11:00 am, allowing friends and family to pay their respects. The funeral service will follow at 12:00 pm, where Elder Tyrone Waller Sr, the pastor of Pathway Outreach Ministry, will officiate and serve as the celebrant.

Please be advised there will be limited on- street parking, which will be strictly enforced. The Youngstown Playhouse has graciously consented for its parking lot to be used as an overflow for family and friends.
