JONESVILLE, SC-- Mr. Thomas "Tom" Gilbert Reed, of 171 Hardy Street, Pacolet, SC, entered into eternal rest Sunday, November 6, 2011. Mr. Reed was the son of the late Mr. John Reed and Mrs. Rosa Rice Reed. He was a native of Spartanburg County. Mr. Reed was retired from Draper Corporation.Survivors include one son, Mr. Johnny (Brenda) Reid of Spartanburg, SC; three daughters, Ms. Joyce R. (William) Davis of Pacolet, SC, Ms. Jackie (David) Gray of Baltimore, MD, and Ms. Alice Hardy of Spartanburg, SC; two sisters, Mrs. Josephine (Willie) McBeth of Pacolet, SC, and Mrs. Mae Ruth Peeler of Connecticut; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by one son, Mr. Thomas Reed, Jr.Funeral services will be held Friday, November 11, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at the Gethsemane Baptist Church. Pastor Charles Walker will officiate. Burial will be in the Pacolet Memorial Gardens. The body will be placed in the church at 1:00 p.m., prior to the service.The family will receive friends at the home of his son, Mr. Johnny Reid, at 4152 East Croft Circle, Spartanburg, SC.J.W.
