Ms. Aggie Jeanna Phillips

09/27/1980 - 02/05/2024

On Monday morning, February 5, 2024, Jeanna gained her wings at her home in Oakboro, NC.

Jeanna lived an active life and was very family-oriented. Her smile, laugh, and energy was beyond amazing. Jeanna never met a stranger, and she could talk for hours with anyone she came in contact with.

Jeanna was born September 27, 1980 to Bettye Jean Phillips and Walter “Sonny” Dunlap, Sr. She attended Anson County Schools and graduated from Anson Senior High School in 1998. She then enrolled in Central Piedmont Community College, where she earned her certification as a Nursing Assistant. Thereafter, she was employed with Bayada Nurses for over 20 years.

Jeanna also stepped into a career in law enforcement with the North Carolina Department of Adult Corrections. Growing within the department, she attained the position of Case Manager Supervisor. She was also part of the SEANC group and many other organizations. In addition to her nursing and law enforcement careers, she managed to start her own business, NYO Boutique, with much success.

Maintaining a busy work and professional life, Jeanna still found time to take trips, plan gatherings with family and friends, and live her life the way she enjoyed.
