Mr. Patterson of Lakeland transitioned Sunday, February 4, 2024. A visitation will be held Friday, February 9, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Coney Funeral Home - 647 W. Memorial Boulevard, Lakeland, Florida 33815. The Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 10, 2024 - 10:00 a.m. at by the grave at Oak Hill Burial Park - 4620 US Highway 98 South, Lakeland, Florida 33810.

Edward "Pat" M. Patterson, age 92, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2024, in Lakeland, Florida. He was born on January 21, 1932, in Lakeland, Florida, to the late Gus and Lillie Bell Patterson.

Pat was a charming and well-liked individual who had a long and fulfilling career of 45 years at Cargill mines. Throughout his life, he enjoyed repairing all kinds of machines and engines. He was a lover of riding motorcycles and horses. At one time, he was a member of a local motorcycle club.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gus and Lillie Bell Patterson, his sister: Carrie Mae Cooper, brothers: Willie James Patterson and Eugene Patterson, and his daughter: Bernice Douglas. They all resided in Lakeland, Florida.

Pat is survived by his loving wife: Elease Scarborough Patterson: children: Lee Butler of Lakeland, Derald Patterson of Lakeland, Anthony Maddox (Donna) of Daytona, Willie J. "Skip" Tucker (Ellen) of Eustis, Myron Patterson (Jessica) of Lakeland, Carlos Moultrie (Lora Spinks) of Lakeland, Brenda Patterson Jackson (James) of Lakeland, and Oweeta "Weeda" Patterson Derry (Dwayne) of Lakeland. He is also survived by his stepchildren Nikki, Tina, and Michael and his ward, My'Angel Scarborough as well as a blessing of grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and step-great-grandchildren.
