DEACON HENRY HAMBRICK, JR. – Age 89, of LaFayette, Georgia passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at Parkside Rehabilitation Center. He was born December 23, 1934 to his late parents, father, Henry Hambrick, Sr. and mother, Lillie B. Clark Hambrick. He was also preceded in death by his son, Pastor Terence “Terry” Hambrick, brother, Dewey Hambrick, father-in-law, Marvin Almon, Sr., mother-in-law, Cleola Almon, sisters-in-law, Bethel Carson and Laura McSears, and brother-in-law, Jackie Almon.

Henry was a faithful Deacon at Happy Home Baptist Church. He worked for Wheland Foundry, Roper Corporation, and various other jobs over his lifetime. He was an avid Atlanta Braves and Dallas Cowboys fan. He also enjoyed spending time with family and close friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Shirley Ann Almon Hambrick; children, Andrew (Brenda) Hambrick of LaFayette, GA, Minister Pierre (Courtney) Hambrick of Mt. Juliet, TN, Jennell (Pastor Albert, Jr.) Hill of Ringgold, GA; grandchildren; Christian Hambrick, Khaliah Hambrick, A.J. Hill, Malachi Hill, Chole Hambrick, Caylin Hambrick, Candace (Andre) Willis, DeeAnna Hill, Lee (Brittany) Almon, Hailey Bradley, Louis Johnson, Christian Johnson, Angel Johnson, Heaven Johnson; great grandchildren, Jaxon Willis, Andruw Almon, De’Avion Johnson, Zay Johnson; daughter-in-law, Angela Hambrick of Summerville, GA; sisters-in-law, Lonnie (James, Sr.) Langston, Anna Ward, Joyce (LaVann) Coven, Linda Ware; brother-in-law, Marvin (Angela) Almon, Jr.; other nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

Funeral Service will be Monday, February 12, 2024 at 12:00 Noon at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 289 Dunwoody Rd, LaFayette, GA 30728, with Dr. Donald White, Eulogist and Pastor Rheubin Taylor, Presider. The family will receive extended family and friends on Monday from 11:00 A. M. until the funeral hour at the church. His remains will lie in state at the funeral home on Sunday from 11:00 A. M. – 7:00 P. M. Interment; LaFayette City Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Willis Funeral Home, Inc., Dalton, GA.
