Derrick Leon Mack was born to Peter J. Mack, Sr., and Ander L. Mack on April 28, 1981 in Gainesville, Florida. Derrick was eduacated in the Putnam County School District. He met Larhonda Passmore on August 15, 2003, in Palatka, Florida. Derrick was a carpenter for over ten years. He had a love for fishing, music, fashion, and spending time with family.
Derrick was preceded in eternal rest by his father, Peter Mack, Sr., grandmothers, Annie Bolling and Eola Mack, grandfathers, Willie Andrews, and Shedrick Mack.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Larhonda Passmore, his mother, Ander L. Mack, sons, Derrick Mack Jr., Derron Mack, Dertavius Mack, Jeffery Stewart, Antonio Denson, daughter, Asia Mack, grandson, Ahmir Denson, brothers, Peter Mack Jr., Shedrick Mack(Keisha), sister, Vivian Denson(Oscar Reeves), special relative Chentael “Reese” Folger(Eddie Watson) worm-Kyeanndre Mack, Darren “Boonkie” Crawford, special niece, Brandie Mack, special friends, Jarvis “Joc” Phillips, and dude-Aszure Williams, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.
The family will receive friends and the community 5-6 p.m., Friday, February 16, 2024, at Mt. Olive AME Church in East Palatka. A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 p.m., Saturday, February 17, at Mt. Tabor First Baptist Church, 4909 St. Johns Ave. Interment will be held in Pattersonville Cemetery.
