Queniya Tykia SheltonBOILING SPRINGS, SC- Queniya Tykia Shelton, 7, of 503 Chiuminetta Dr., entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, August 7, 2012, at the Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. Queniya was the daughter of Quenton Douglas and Errika D. Shelton and the stepdaughter of Damien Eagleton. She was a native of Spartanburg County.Queniya was a member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church where she was a Girl Scout, Troop 046. She was a second-grader at Hendrix Elementary School.In addition to her parents, Queniya is survived by her grandparents, Trena Rice and Steve Woodruff of the home; her maternal great-grandmother, Doris Shelton; maternal great-great-grandparents, Helen Williams of Spartanburg, SC, and William Marshall of Charlotte, NC; paternal grandmother, Freddie D. Smith of Spartanburg, SC; paternal aunts, Sophia Williams and Pamela Williams; paternal uncles, Reginald Shelton, John F. Williams; six maternal great-aunts, Bernice (Robert) Evans, Rosena (Aaron) Miller, Sandra Williams, Peggy Williams, Fanettis Roland, Sheila A. Young; maternal uncles, Bobby (Loretta) Williams and James Wilkes, all of Spartanburg, SC; maternal great-uncle, Harold (Lavern) McClain; godmothers, Yolanda (Wanky) Means and Eloise Moss of Spartanburg, SC; two great-aunts, Sarah Williams and Narvis Bogan of Spartanburg, SC; god aunt Debra Burns of Colorado Springs, CO; special aunt, Rosanna Thomas of Spartanburg, SC; a very special friend, Holly Evans of Boiling Springs, SC; and her cat, "Trouble".Queniya was the great-granddaughter of the late Norman Shelton, Sr.Funeral services will be held on Sunday, August 12, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. Rev. Zane McMillian and Pastor Sharome Gentry will officiate. Burial will be in the Heritage Memorial Gardens.The family will receive friends at the home.J.W.
