Ruth Louise Pruitt CrockerSPARTANBURG, SC-- Mrs. Ruth Louise Pruitt Crocker, of 55 Pine Ridge Road, was born May 20, 1921, to the late Arthur and Adline Rice Pruitt in Union County, SC. She went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 7, 2012. She was the widow of the late Robert L. Crocker, Sr. She was a member of the Golden Street Baptist Church in Spartanburg, SC.She leaves to cherish fond memories: a sister, Rosa Crawley of Detroit, MI; three daughters, Doris (Jessie) Robinson of Spartanburg, SC, Annie (James) Carson of Columbia, SC, and Joyce (Juan) Albaladejo of Spartanburg, SC; four sons, one preceded her in death, Larry Crocker, Robert L. (Delphine) Crocker of Hartford, CT, Eugene (Betty) Crocker, and Jerry Crocker of Spartanburg, SC; 26 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. She was preceded in death by one son, Larry Crocker.Funeral service will be held Saturday, August 11, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel. Rev. Annie Smith will officiate.
