John Pope, age 85 of Athens, GA passed February 14, 2024.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Bethel Baptist Church, 53 N. Main Street, Watkinsville, GA with interment in Evergreen Memorial Park.

Viewing, Wednesday 2-6 PM, at the funeral home.

Survivors include: his wife, Mattie Pope; four children, Chiffon (Raymond) Baulding, Bridgett Pope, Kenneth Sheats and Patrick Sheats; grandchildren, Justine Freeman, Auniray Baulding and Brielle Jones; great grandchild, Addison Freeman; and siblings, Irene Pope and Willie (Charlene) Pope.
