Funeral service for Shirley Meadows, 56, of Opelika, AL, will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 17, 2024, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Zion at the Hill A.M.E. Zion Church Cemetery, 3845 Lee Road 29, Opelika, AL 36804, Reverend Leon Marshall will officiate.

Ms. Meadows, who passed away Tuesday, January 23, 2024 in Columbus, GA, was born July 18, 1967, in Lee County, Alabama. She was preceded in death by: her mother, Mozell Carlisle; four siblings, Willie James Carlisle, Jr., Curtis Carlisle, Norma Jackson and George Carlisle.

Public viewing will be Friday, February 16, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.

She leaves to cherish her memory: two sisters, Dorothy Reese and Ruth Strickland both of Opelika, AL; four brothers, John Carlisle, Chester (Linda) Carlisle, Lester Carlise and Eugene Carlisle all of Opelika, AL; one uncle, J.B. Mitchell of Opelika, AL; one aunt, Sarah Mitchell of Opelika, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
