OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Opelousas Family Worship Center in Opelousas, LA for Mr. Sherman Baker, 40, who entered eternal rest on Monday, February 12, 2024 at his residence in Opelousas, LA. Interment will be in Mt. Triumph Baptist Church Cemetery.

Bishop Albert Richard of Opelousas Family Worship Center will be officiating the funeral service.

Mr. Baker’s memories are being cherished by: his mother, Theresa Baker and step father, Ryan Trent of Opelousas, LA and his father, Peter Alpough of Baton Rouge, LA; one son, Jayden Carrier of Opelousas, LA; maternal grandmother, Maebell Lockett of Opelousas, LA; one sister, Sarina Baker of Opelousas, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Herman Baker, Sr. and paternal grandparents, Leon and Rita Alpough.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at Opelousas Family Worship Center.
