Richard Anthony Pillin a recent transplant to Tifton Georgia passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024 at home with the love of his life and wife of 27 years, Cindy Reed Pillin, after a long fought battle with Diabetes. Rick is in the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after accepting Him as his Savior the Tuesday prior to his passing.
Rick was the son of the late John Pillin of Massachusetts and Janet Stewart Seavey and William Seavey Jr. of Windsor, Maine. He has one daughter Treasure Eanes of Alamogordo, New Mexico and Step-son Kevin Blackwell of Owl’s Head, Maine. He has five grandchildren and one great grandson. He was the eldest of 5 siblings: Randi Tolman - North Carolina, William Seavey III-North Carolina, Martha Boynton- Maine, and Emily Warman- Maine and he has a lot of extended family.
After graduation from Rockland District High School of Rockland Maine, in 1975, he did a 3 year tour of duty with the Air Force. He worked for his father in Massachusetts for a number of years before taking a job with the Maine State Prison (MSP) in Warren, Maine. He retired from MSP after 22 years of service. Rick enjoyed working with the MSP Blood Hounds and went on extended training trips with the dogs. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Motorcycle as much as he was able and playing weekly games with friends.
There will be no formal service.
