George W. Roysden passed away peacefully on February 21, 2024 at his home surrounded by loved ones following a long illness.
He was born January 24, 1941 in Briceville, TN. He lived his younger years in the Tennessee mountains with his five loving siblings, Wilma, Georgia, James, Betty and Scott.
George was a proud veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He also spent 45+ years in the Exhibit & Trade Show industry. He was strong willed and stubborn at times but he also had an enormous heart and a great sense of humor. He was always quick with sarcastic banner and full of dad jokes. He loved watching westers, listening to Elvis, RV’ing across the country and completing puzzles but most of all he loved being around his children and grandchildren. There was always a “Roysden mess” made with his homemade biscuits and gravy. He will be remembered for all the love he shared with friends and family. He truly loved each of them.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, George W. Roysden, Sr. and Tennessee Richardson and step-father, Lee Richardson. His first wife, Linda Roysden. His brothers, Paul, James and Scott. His sister, Wilma Griffith and his son, Bill Harris.
Those left to cherish his memories are sisters, Georgia Pollard and Betty & Bill Caylor. His sons Yatzie & Sue Roysden and Keith & Kathy Roysden. His daughters Joyce & Gary Sprouse, Kim Roysden, Katie Howell and Laura & Roberto Thegenus. His second wife, Linda Collins. And many grand and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews that he adored.
Pops, Pa George, Uncle Jr., Papaw and Dad lived a good life and will be missed.
There are no services planned per his wishes. He will be cremated and a celebration of life will occur at a later date. Details to be determined.
