Mr. Richard C. "Sonny" Wells, Sr.SPARTANBURG, SC-- Mr. Richard C. "Sonny" Wells, Sr., of 200 South Liberty Street, Apt #16, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, April 4, 2013. He was the son of the late Mr. Richard Carter Wells and Mrs. Mary Louise Jones. He was born on December 20, 1944, in Spartanburg, SC. He was educated in the South Carolina Public School System. He was of the Baptist faith.Survivors include: two sons, Richard C. Wells, Jr. of Carney Point, NJ and Julian Wells of Brooklyn, NY; two daughters, Kimberly Antoinette Wells and Tanya Bernice Wells of Philadelphia, PA; one sister, Geraldine Jones Fowler of Spartanburg, SC; and three aunts, Yvonne (Hezakiah) Robinson, Linda Curry and Helen Sims of Spartanburg, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, loving family members and friends.He was preceded in death by his parents; Southern Jones; a special grandmother, Mrs. Virginia Wells; and a special aunt, Mrs. Margaret Foster (Fred Foster).Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at 2:00 PM at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel.
