RAYNE – Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Faith Missionary Baptist Church, 100 Mervine Kahn Dr., Rayne, LA for Ms. Destiny R. Gibson, affectionately known by her family and friends as “Des”, 29, who entered eternal rest on February 14, 2024 at Ochsner Lafayette General Hospital in Lafayette, LA. Interment will be in Branch Cemetery in Branch, LA.

Pastor John E. Jordan, Jr. of Faith Missionary Baptist Church will be officiating the funeral service.

Ms. Gibson’s memories are being cherished by: her mother, Raydell Granger of Rayne, LA and her father, Craig Gibson of Branch, LA; one son, Jadien Jordan of Rayne, LA; two daughters, Ivoria Jordan and Kasiley Jordan, both of Rayne, LA; paternal grandparents, Earl and Geraldine Gibson of Branch, LA; four brothers, Jaylon Gibson, Devaun Gibson and Dequan Gibson, all of Rayne, LA and Shakore Gibson of Houston, TX; two sisters, Shia Gibson and Shelbi Gibson, both of Church Point, LA; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Ms. Gibson is preceded in death by: her maternal grandparents, Benton Jolivette and Gloria Granger; maternal uncle, Christopher Granger; maternal aunt, Roxanne Granger; and paternal aunt, Nell Gibson.

Visitation will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at Faith Missionary Baptist Church.
