CHARLOTTE, NC-- Reverend Macy Simuel peacefully entered rest on Tuesday, May 21, 2013.Reverend Simuel's ministry spanned a fifty-year period. She established various outreach ministries and served as a pastor and a mentor to many who entered the ministry. Simuel served as an Elder with New Faith International Church.Left to cherish fond memories and the legacy of being a strong Christian leader are her loving family: children, Yvonne Hammond of Wellford, SC and Ronald Hammond of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Yulonda (Torrey) Stephens of the home and Carolus Backham of Spartanburg, SC.Reverend Simuel resided in the home of her granddaughter and her granddaughter's husband, where she received loving care.A Service in Celebration and in Thanksgiving for the Life of Reverend Macy Simuel will be held on today, Saturday, May 25, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. at New Faith International Church, Reverend Rosavelt Copeland, pastor.The family is at the home of her daughter, 200 Monarch Place, Apartment 401, Wellford, SC.J.
