Michael Shawn Carl Sr., 73, of Vanceboro a native of Pennsylvania passed Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at CarolinaEast Medical Center.

His Celebration of Life Service is 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at St. Andrews Lutheran Church 1605 Neuse Blvd., New Bern.

He is survived by his wife, Antoinette Carl of Vanceboro; three sons, Michael Carl Jr., Japan; Seth Carl, New York, NY and Adam Carl Ford City, PA; step-daughter, Beth Anne Helmanic; two brothers, Cyril Carl, California and Dale Carl, Texas; one sister, Amy Moody, Pennsylvania; seven grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Carl and Ruth Wernick Carl, brother, Robert Carl and step-son, Edward J. Helmanic.
