Ms. Ivey Maria Robbins, 66, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 8, 2024 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem NC. She was born on March 14, 1957 at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Aberdeen, MD., to Elizabeth H. Robbins and the late Willis D. Robbins. Also proceeding her in death is Mary Lee Gantt , Tab Robbins and Gobo Alexander.
Ivey graduated from T.W. Andrews High School in High Point NC. She also attended Johnson C. Smith in Charlotte NC. She was an active member at Pearson Memorial AME and she also attended Healing Heart Ministry until her illness. Ivey worked at Harris Covington for over 20 years before retiring.
Outside of her commitments, she enjoyed reading, shopping and cherished moments spent with family and friends. Her warmth, humor, and unwavering love will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known her.
Ivey will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Brittany Robbins (James) of High Point, NC; mother, Elizabeth Robbins of the home; sister, Charita Robbins of High Point, NC; Terry Myers, Peggy Hoyle of Gastonia, NC; Gloria Pendergrass Lake Wylie, SC and Brenda Davis of High Point, NC; grandchildren McKenzie Ford- Robbins, Riley Marion, Jessalyn Marion and Dion Marion; niece, Benekia Robbins; nephew, Wendell Robbins; four aunts, Valerie Dickens, Patty Alexander, Susan Alexander of Kernersville, Barbara Alexander of Charlotte, NC; one uncle, Willie Alexander of Asheboro, NC; the love of her life of 40 years, Joseph Ford of High Point, NC.
Ivey's memory will forever be cherished by her loved ones, friends, and the communities she touched.
Although she may no longer be with us, Ivey's legacy of love, kindness, and faith will continue to shine brightly through the memories she created and the lives she touched. May she rest in eternal peace, her spirit forever remembered and her legacy enduring in the hearts of those who loved her.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 16, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 3:30 p.m. until 4:00 p.m.
