Willie Ed Burgess, age 94 of Athens, GA passed March 12, 2024.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, March 17, 2024, 2:00 PM, at Oconee Baptist Church, 58 Lower Wire Bridge Road, Stephens, GA with interment in East Lawn Memorial Cemetery.

Viewing Saturday 1-6 PM, at the funeral home.

Willie leaves to cherish his memories: three daughters, Angela (John) Burnette and Wanda (Minister Stacey) Stevens both of Athens, GA and Pamela (Elder Dennis) Long of Winterville, GA; one son, Arthur Lee of Cleveland, Ohio; seven cherished grandchildren, Jonnita (Kelvin) Potter, Marcus (Lakeisha) Walters, Kari Walters, Denesha (Keith) Hill, Tuwanna Gilham, William (Carol) Stevens, Tamara Long, Stacy Stevens II, Danielle Stevens and Ramone Goddard; twenty great grandchildren; one brother, Robert (Alfreda) Finch of Athens, GA; three sisters-in-law, Magnolia Norman, Betty (Minister David) Sims and Janie Burgess; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
