Thelma Davis Lane

On October 7, 1930, Comer and Zeffie Hannah Davis was blessed with a beautiful baby girl that that lovingly named Thelma.

Thelma was a woman of Grace and elegance. She was very well known in her community as well as abroad. Her labor has not been in vain.

Early in life, Thelma attended Sandvalley A.M.E. Church. She later became a devoted member of The Church of Lord Jesus Christ of Apostolic Faith in Augusta, GA.

On January 19, 1946, at the age of fifteen, Thelma was united in Holy Matrimony to Elmer Lane, Sr. They were blessed with twelve children.

On Friday, March 8, 2024 Thelma made her transition from all of the labor to her reward. She joins her husband, Elmer along with one son, Eddie Lane who preceded in death.

Her memories will be forever etched in the hearts and minds of her children: Dorothy (Franklin) Lighten, Augusta, GA, Elmer (Ann) Lane, Jr., Bronx, N.Y. , David Lane, Matthews, GA, Erben (Elsie) Lane, Bronx, N.Y., Annette (Abraham) Simmons, Avera, GA, Melvin (Claudette) Lane, Hephzibah, GA, Annie B. (Leon) Smith, Stellaville, GA, LuVondra Lane, Atlanta, GA, Annie (Clayton) Dawson, Corpus Christi, TX, Samuel (Monica) Lane, Chattanooga, TN, Aaron (Torria) Lane, Sr., Covington, GA;

To know Thelma was truly to love her. She will forever be known to her fifty-six grandchildren, eighty-seven, great grandchildren, thirteen great-great grandchildren as "Uhma".

additional loved ones: grandson, Antwan Lane; granddaughter along with being her caregiver: Stephanie (Mike) Linder. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Active Pallbearers will be Calvin Smith, Samtavious Lane, Rasheem Lane, Christopher Lane, DeAndre Flournoy, Kevin Lane.

Honorary Pallbearers will be nephews.

Flower Bearers will be granddaughters.
