OPELOUSAS – Funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home in Opelousas, LA for Mr. Howard Richard, 56, who entered eternal rest on January 28, 2024 in Shreveport, LA. Interment will be in St. Mark Baptist Church Cemetery in Plaisance, LA.

Mr. Richard’s memories are being cherished by: one daughter, Christa Arvie of Marrero, LA; two sisters, Betty Richard and Linda Richard, both of Ville Platte, LA; three brothers, Linton (Ella) Richard, Jr. and Eric Richard, both of Ville Platte, LA and Chris Edwards of Lake Charles, LA; three grandchildren, Kinleyfaith Arvie, Aaliyah Kerri Schofield and Kevin Amir Schofield; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by: his parents, Linton and Common Freeman Richard, Sr.; one son, Kevin James Richard; and one grandson, Aiden Arvie.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at Ford and Joseph Funeral Home.
