SPARTANBURG, SC-- Mr. James Louis Foster, 56, of 208 Loring Street, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 7, 2013. Mr. Foster was the husband of Mrs. Diann F. Foster. He was the son of the late Mr. Will Foster, Jr. and Mrs. Alice Martin Foster. He was a native of Spartanburg County. Mr. Foster was a member of the New Day Baptist Church. Survivors include: his daughter, Jamia Diann Foster, Esq. of Spartanburg, SC; four sisters, Gracie Ann (Earl) Woodruff of Spartanburg, SC, Velma Foster of Duncan, SC, Rosalind (Freddie) Collins of Spartanburg, SC and Renee (Shawn) Laurant of Inman, SC; three brothers, Paul Foster and Lee Foster both of Spartanburg, SC and William (Maria) Foster of Lexington, SC; his step-mother, Janie Foster of Spartanburg, SC. A brother, Roy Foster preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the New Day Baptist Church. Reverend James L. Hailstock will officiate. Burial will be in the Heritage Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held on Friday evening, December 13, 2013 from 6:00-7:00 PM at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel.
