TYLER--Funeral services for Mrs. Rosie Brooks, 84, is scheduled for 1 pm, Saturday, March 16, 2024 at New Jerusalem Baptist Church with Rev. Perfice Atkins, eulogist. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery under direction of John R Harmon Undertaking Company.

Mrs. Brooks was born on November 20, 1939 in Carthage, Texas to the late Robert and Rosie Starling Nobles and she transitioned on March 5, 2024.

She attended school in Longview, Texas and Emmett J. Scott in Tyler, Texas. She worked at Levi's Strauss for many years. Tyler Pipe Industry and her last employment was Briarcliff Nursing Center.

Mrs. Brooks was a member of New Jerusalem Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Alvin Brooks, two daughters, two sons, three siblings, daughter-in-law and one grandson.

Mrs. Brooks is survived by four sons: Terry Woolridge of Dallas, Jeffery Woolridge, Ronald Brooks (Teresa Ford), and Robert Brooks(LaRhonda) all of Tyler, Texas; four daughters: Carolyn Choice (Kevin). Sonja Brooks, Lovie Brooks and Vanessa Brooks all of Tyler, Texas; one sister: Sherry Smith of Tyler, thirty grandchildren and seventy-three great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.

Public viewing will be Friday, March 15, 2024, from 2 pm to 8 pm at the funeral home.
