TYLER---Funeral services for Evangelist Rudy Wideman Ringold, 77, Tyler, Texas is scheduled for 1 pm, Saturday, March 16, 2024 at New Days Community Church with Evangelist Sha'Nita Erwin Jones, eulogist. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction on John R. Harmon Undertaking Company.

Evangelist Ringold was born on July 26, 1946 in Smith County to the late Darcie & Vester Wideman Brooks and she transitioned on March 5, 2024 at UT Health East Texas.

She attended TISD and graduated from Emmet J Scott High School Class of 1964. She graduated in the year of 1979 from Richard and Joseph Cosmetology School in 1998 she moved to Arizona and attended AZUSA MTI.

In the year of 2004, she was ordained as an Evangelist and founded Vessel Crusade Ministry. Evangelist Ringold moved to England in 2006 for ministry. In 2008, she began her jail ministry and also ministered in nursing facilities. In the year of 2018, Evangelist Ringold wrote her first fook titled, “Ruby is a Jewel”.

She was preceded in death by three siblings: John C Widemon, Marcus Widemon and Aldene Dunning.

Evangelist Ringold is survived by one son: William Lamon Goodwyn of Tyler, Texas; two daughters: Angela Battles and Christa Henry (Heaven) all of Tyler, Texas; two brothers: Travis Widemon of Tyler, Texas and Alton Widemon (Juana) of Lindale; one sister: Christell Widemon Warren of Whitehouse, Texas; ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

Public viewing will be on Friday, March 15, 2024 from 2 pm to 8 pm at the funeral home.
