Lura Zenobia Rogers, 85, of High point, NC departed this earthly life on March 13, 2024, at Shannon Gray Rehabilitation and Recovery Center of Jamestown, NC. She was born in High Point, NC, on October 12, 1938, to the late Thomas and Menther Bennett.

Lura graduated from William Penn High School in 1956 and earned her degree from A&T State University in Greensboro, NC. She worked at Tobias Clothing Store in High Point, NC.

She faithfully served as the organist and worked at the Saint Paul Presbyterian Church daycare. She also attended First Baptist Church in High Point, NC.

She is survived by her husband, Willie Rogers, daughter, Robin (Tony) Taylor; son, Bruce (Melissa McNair) Rogers; brother, Truman (Beverly) Bennett, Peggy Bennett Smith; grandchildren, Chitauna Rogers, Charmyria McNeil. Kimberly McNair, Jessica (Tony) Taylor, Jr., and Justin Taylor. A host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be held Friday, March 22, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at Phillips Funeral Service Chapel. Interment will follow at Greenhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the chapel from 2:30 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.
