CAMPOBELLO, SC-- Mrs. Ora Lee Smith, 90, widow of Mr. Thad L. Smith, Sr., entered into eternal rest surrounded by family on Tuesday, February 4, 2014. Mrs. Smith was born on April 18, 1923. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Eula Miller. For seventy-four years, Ora was a faithful member of the Smith Chapel Baptist Church in Campobello, SC, where she served faithfully in many ministries. Survivors include: two daughters, Dorothy Landrum (Madison) of Chesnee, South Carolina and Mary Helen Ramsey (Gregory) of St. Petersburg, Florida; two sons, Thad Lewis Smith, Jr. (Gail) of Spartanburg, South Carolina and Joe E. Smith (Wilma) of Campobello, South Carolina; nine grandchildren; nineteen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and host of other relatives. Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 9, 2014 at Smith Chapel Baptist Church, 750 Smith Chapel Road, Campobello, SC 29322. Mrs. Smith will lie in state from 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service. The family will receive friends at the John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel on Saturday, February 8, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m..
