Mr. John Wesley Duncan, Sr., 90, of 122 Lincoln Drive, entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 25, 2014. Mr. Duncan was born February 18, 1924 to the late Mr. Fred Duncan and Mrs. Mary Surratt Duncan. He was a native of Spartanburg County, South Carolina. He was the widower of Mrs. Viola Westmoreland Duncan. He leaves to cherish his memories: his daughters, Fannie Duncan Cruz and Barbara Duncan; his sons, Robert Duncan and Willie James Duncan, Sr.; his grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and dear friends. Mr. Wesley was preceded in death by: his sons, Mr. John Wesley Duncan, Jr. and Mr. Harold Duncan. A Celebration of the Life of Mr. John Wesley Duncan, Sr., will be held on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at The John Stinson Woodward Memorial Chapel, 602 Howard Street, Spartanburg, SC 29303. The Reverend Yvette Gaines will officiate. Interment will be held in Lincoln Memorial Gardens, 2310 Cannons Campground Road, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
