You left us peaceful memories, your love is still our guide,
And though we cannot see you, you are always at our side.
Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same,
But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.

Mrs. Alice R. Hargrove, age 81, of Richmond, Virginia formerly of Boydton, Virginia departed this life on Monday, March 25, 2024, at her residence.

Celebration of life will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2024 at 2:00pm at Roanoke United Church of Christ 3300 Paschall Rd. Boydton, Virginia. Reverend Curtis McRae, Sr. will deliver the eulogy. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Alice leaves to cherish her memory: her children, Annete Hunt (Anthony), Edward Hargrove, Jr. and Mary Young; grandchildren and great grandchildren, Pamela, Tomika, Reginald, Simone, Antionette, Essence, Anthony, Deshaun, Jamiyah, Raekwon, Tyrel, and Iesha; siblings, Clementine Russell, Odell Glaspie, Florence Howell, Mckinley Howell, Jr. (Thelma) Nelson Howell (Alana) and Larry Howell; along with a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
