Arthur John Octave Jr, beloved husband and father, departed from this life on March 21,2024, at the age of 95. Arthur was the former owner of Stadium Exxon located on Scenic Highway in Baton Rouge. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2024, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 2305 Choctaw Dr., Baton Rouge, LA. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am with mass following at 11:00 am. Interment in the Louisiana National Cemetery, Zachary, LA.

Arthur John Octave Jr., beloved husband and father, departed this life on March 21, 2024, at the age of 95 years old.

Arthur was born on July 4, 1928, to the late Arthur Sr. and Alverine (Pierre) Octave. He grew up in Welcome, La (St James Parish) but spent most of his adult life as a resident of Baton Rouge, La. After serving his country in the U.S. Air Force, Arthur became the owner of Stadium Exxon, where he ran a successful business located on Scenic Highway in Baton Rouge. Arthur was also a faithful member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church and Rising Sun Benevolent Association. Arthur and Deloris, his wife of 48 years, enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends.

Arthur is survived by his wife Deloris (Judson) Octave; daughter Dr. Bridget Anne Octave; stepson Barone Wilson; stepdaughter Paulette Wilson and her son Romello Rucker; sister in law Emma Thompson; brother in laws Freddie Judson Jr (Demetric), Kenneth Judson (Vallarie), and Carl Judson (Nancy); and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Sr. and Alverine Octave; stepdaughter Franchetta Wilson; in laws Katie and Freddy Judson Sr; brother and sister in law Willis and Regina Octave; sister and brother in law Mildred and Joseph Whittington Sr.

Arthur was respected by all and will be sadly missed by family and friends.
